Cindy Towne

Bio:

I began wood carving at age 13, I still have the knives I purchased then. My dad bought me a Drexel tool shortly after to nurture my craft. Fast forward many years after trying furniture and cabinets, I’ve settled into small wood items. Every piece of wood  is unique and pairing different woods to accent the beauty of each is a delight. My favorite thing to make are wood models. Translating a plane, boat or vehicle into a wood representation with just the right amount of detail so the spirit of the original is portrayed is so much fun. It helps that I’m still a kid at heart!
