Allison Hanlin

Bio:

Allison is the local art teacher at The Main Street Academy in College Park, CrossFit kids coach at CrossFit College Park, and community potter by night.

Allison has been creating pots for over 20 years in her small studio space, which she unofficially calls Wheelpower Studios. She makes pieces people can use and enjoy in everyday life. And don’t set her pieces on the shelf – she wants them used and loved!  Allison’s love of pottery came alive while interning at the Arrowmount School of Art and Crafts in TN. Although the life of an artist wasn’t in the cards, she is constantly busy intertwining all of her skills with the community but never forgets to go back and focus on her first talent. “Creating pottery brings me such fulfillment. I have found that most folks really cherish my work as I do.”

Allison enjoys teaching pottery to her students and to adults.
